Learn about the beautiful riverside biodiversity along the Yarra as part of Stonnington’s participation in the 2021 City Nature Challenge on this guided morning walk with the Yarra Riverkeeper Association.
This walk will be held by Yarra Riverkeeper’s Regeneration Team, Lachy Peace and Andrew Wood, and local Stonnington bird expert Liz Hackett.

During the walk, participants will be guided on how to use the iNaturalist app to record observations of plant species or wildlife they see along the Yarra to cotnribute to the 2021 City Nature Challenge (participants should download the app before the event). Learn more about how to use the app by attending our free online iNaturalist training session on 20 April with ecologist Dr. Luis Mata.

From 30 April to 3 May 2021, City of Stonnington is joining seven Eastern Melbourne municipalities to compete against hundreds of cities from over 40 countries around the world in the global City Nature Challenge. This walk is part of series of nature walks to help you take part in this exciting citizen science challenge by taking photos of plants, animals, insects or fungi you see, and uploading them to the iNaturalist app. For more information, visit: www.citynaturechallenge.org
