Did you know that over 40 community groups and organisations have collected data and conducted regular activities within the Yarra River Catchment? With a wealth of information already available on the River’s various social and environmental properties, the Yarra Riverkeeper Association identified an opportunity to collect, collate and present this data on a single platform that can be readily and freely accessible to all – the Yarra Catchment Atlas. The Atlas serves as a tool for education and community building as it enables the general public, schools, researchers and other organisations better understand the cultural heritage, biodiversity and the health of the Yarra Catchment as well as contribute to the collection of data.
