About this event

Thank you for showing your support for our regeneration efforts at Murandaka Reserve.

Unfortunately, due to specific safety hazards of the site (long grasses, complex plant guards), this will not be a child-friendly event. If you would like to bring your family to some of our events, check out our calendar! We will have plenty of opportunities for the next few months for kids to get involved.

We’re excited for a morning of planting and regeneration work!  A few housekeeping things to mention:

How to get there?

  • Parking at the end of Bonds Rd might be limited. We encourage you to take this into consideration.
  • Another parking area of choice is the Wombat Bend (13 Riverwood Ln, Templestowe Lower VIC 3107). You will need to walk across the pedestrian bridge and follow the Trail towards Bond Rd. This is a 5-10 min walk from the carpark.

Public Transport

  • You can take the 905 bus from Johnson St & Hoddle St towards The Pines SC, hopping off on High St & Parker St. From here, you will need to walk about 15 mins to 27 Bonds Street.
  • Bus Line 309 can also take you closer to the site. Please check the PTV app for the best option from your location of choice.

Bike:

  • You can cycle along the Main Yarra Trail to the end of Bonds Rd.

Toilets

    • Closest public toilets are located at Wombat Bend Playground. Please see the map below. They are around 10-15 mins away from our planting site.

What to bring?

Bring appropriate clothing for the weather conditions, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and water. This will be a COVID safe event. Hand sanitiser will be provided, and all attendees will need to show a vaccination certificate or medical exemption.

We look forward to welcoming and sharing this exciting time for Yarra Riverkeeper Association while having a positive impact on your Yarra’s health.

Run by our awesome Specialist Advisor Andrew Wood, this will be a perfect volunteer activity if you wish to gain new skills and experience in regeneration. If this is your first event with us and you haven’t already could you please upload or email your Working with Children Check to volunteers@yarrariver.org.au
