On this Eco-inking by the Birrarung walk you’ll get together with people who like taking a walk and looking with fresh eyes The walk commences at the Abbotsford Convent and is part of the annual program of Jane’s Walk Melbourne.
Hope you’ll step out to find out more about the fascinating world of natural pigments as Annie, our writer and artist, guides you through the process of making marks with what’s available around us.
🎨 We’ll be making marks inks with petals, barks & earth
🌿 We’ll do some easy activities inspired by the natural world of the Birrarung. From leaf rubbings to earth painting, there’s lots to discover.
🌍 Also we’ll consider artful giving and advocacy. Art can be a powerful tool for positive change – let’s try out using creativity and materials from the river banks for environmental advocacy and community support.
Annie’s workshops are easy going and inclusive, suitable for all ages and abilities Whether you’re into art or not all are welcome! Just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.
So mark your calendars, gather your friends, and get ready for a walk filled with art, nature, and meaningful connections. Let’s celebrate the beauty of our riverside community together!
See you there!
