Lara is a strategy and innovation specialist. She has an interdisciplinary background, beginning her career as a lawyer, and completing a PhD in sustainable water management. Lara brings diverse experience working across the public, private and academic sectors to address public policy challenges and system reform in areas including mental health, education and training, sustainable development and diversity and inclusion.
She is currently leading Monash University’s Fire to Flourish program, which works with bushfire affected communities to advance community-led disaster resilience. Lara is passionate about bringing diverse people and knowledge together to address complex sustainability and social inclusion challenges.
