We are incredibly humbled to be a finalist for the Premiers Sustainability Awards in the Environmental Protection Category.

Recognising the diabolical effects of litter and polystyrene pollution on the health of the Yarra River, we worked alongside Cleanwater.az to negate these impacts.

Thanks to the help of the melbourne community, our four large-scale Yarra Blitz community clean-up events, held over 2019, were able to remove over 18,165kg of waste by vacuum and community collection.

Whilst collecting litter is important, more action is needed to protect your Yarra, the heart of Melbourne. By forming a greater understanding of the types and sources of pollution that enter our waterways we are able to better identify solutions and recommendations to reduce the impacts of plastic and polystyrene pollution on our waterways.
