Join the Yarra Riverkeeper Association on Sunday 5 February 2017, between 10am and 1pm, and help clean up the area between Burnley Harbour and the Yarra. This is a beautiful site opposite Herring Island. Hundreds of cyclists pass by every day on their morning and evening commutes along the Capital City trail. Yet the site has become neglected, and weeds and rubbish has been let accumulate. Thank you to Yarra City Council for the grant that has made this clean-up possible. Bookings essential. We will provide morning tea. Please wear strong boots, long-sleeve shirts and long pants. If you have gumboots do please bring them along as well – even a pair of waders if you have them. If you have a spare pair of gloves that would be appreciated.
