Passionate about climate change and environmental action, Rishabh is one of the YRKA advocacy volunteers, helping in supporting and recommending policy reform and change. Originally from Lucknow, India, Rishabh has completed a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering and moved to Melbourne to pursue a Master of Environment and Sustainability at Monash University. He has since fallen in love with Victoria’s people, culture and natural environment.

Rishabh has strong critical thinking and research skills with a particular interest in corporate environment and sustainability practices. He previously interned at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and the Australian Centre for Education and training. In these roles he developed strong data analysis, software and innovation skills, running simulations and research on how to convert waste materials into new reusable products.

Rishabh was a volunteer at the 2020 Global Youth Summit- Action for earth, where he was responsible for assisting in education tours for high profile delegates from various countries. He is also a member at the Sustainable Development Goals Student Hub and has a particular passion for Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. He hopes to continue to utilise his skills, knowledge and passion to work towards greater protection for the natural environment. In his spare time, Rishabh is a lover of Netflix and Chill, cooking and travelling.
