Originally from Rajahmundry, India, Manogna is our project planning volunteer and assists in developing stakeholder analysis and infographic summaries.
Manogna has a Master of Food and Packaging Innovation and Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (Honours), and has a wide variety of hands-on technical experience in production, chemical engineering, quality assurance and control. Previously she has worked in Dubai at Intercoil International and the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science, where she developed extremely strong mathematical and lab chemistry skills. She has also previously worked at ITC Limited India and PZ Cussons Australia on quality assurance for household products such as yoghurt, pepper, dehydrates and pepper.
Manogna is passionate about sustainable food systems and hopes to be a part of creating innovative packaging solutions using renewable resources to combat plastic waste. She aims to address the pollution issues that are affecting the Yarra and is working on identifying point and diffuse sources.
Manogna has an infectious can-do attitude and believes any challenges faced are not obstacles, but rather lessons, in which no matter how you performed, you will learn and grow. She currently works at 99 Monkeys; applying her knowledge and love for food towards quality and innovation for peanut, almond and various nut butter. In her spare time, she loves blending up smoothies and experimenting in her kitchen to substitute contemporary recipes using whole food ingredients.
