Originally from Jackson, Missouri, USA, Kylie moved to Melbourne to pursue a Masters of Environment and Sustainability at Monash University. The YRKA is fortunate to have Kylie assist in research and various environmental projects, drawing on her education and personal interest.

Kylie graduated her undergraduate studies Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science and with honours in Economics. Previously she was a Finance and Accounting Intern for the global and hospitality giant, MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas. Whilst in Las Vegas she also honed her love for animals, working as a care attendant with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

Passionate about both the natural environment and commercial sustainability, Kylie also currently volunteers for the organisation; Reduce our Footprint! (ROF); a social enterprise with the aim of reducing environmental impact through personalised sustainable solutions and circular projects that offer immediate results.

Upon completing her studies, Kylie dreams to utilise her education to make a positive impact on the environment as either an environmental or sustainability consultant. In her spare time, Kylie enjoys hiking, riding horses, and the outdoors. She is also training hard to run a marathon!

“My first introduction to Melbourne was walking along the iconic Yarra! When I think of Melbourne, I always think of the Yarra.”
