Since 2006, we have conducted a regular boat patrol on the Lower Yarra. It enables us to give guided river tours to community leaders (including politicians and city councillors), staff from the authorities and the news media. With our running on-board commentary, passengers get a unique on-the-water perspective and understanding of the river.

These river tours yield measurable benefits, including insights and input to council and state government decisions on river health matters.

Our boat operation also enables us to monitor river health, developments and problems on the river (eg pollution, damage to the bank) and its bold signage promotes the important message about caring for the river.

Our new patrol boat, launched in 2013, is moored in Burnley Harbour (opposite Herring Island) and its regular routes are upstream to Collingwood and downstream to the Westgate Bridge.
