Following the success of first clean-up at Burnley, the Yarra Riverkeeper Association is organising a second clean-up between the river and Burnley Harbour on Sunday 2 April from 10am to 1pm. We hope you can come along. Details and bookings here.
Do come along on Saturday 11 March 2017 for a guided walk around Studley Park with the Yarra Riverkeeper. Meet at the Studley Park Boathouse at 10.00 am. Spend the next two hours hearing the stories of the River. There are some unsealed, uneven surfaces, and a steepish climb. It is not suitable for strollers or dogs.

Christian Taylor will be talking about the Yarra River Photo Survey and Andrew Kelly, the Yarra Riverkeeper, will update us on what is happening with the Yarra River Protection Act Project.
We will be having a stall at the Boroondara Sustainability Festival, so do come along and visit us. Jeminah Reidy from the Association’s committee will be managing our stall. The festival runs from 8am to 1pm on Saturday 17 September 2016 and is being held at Patterson Reserve, Auburn Road, Hawthorn East (Melway 59 E3).
On 1 July 2016, the Yarra River Protection Ministerial Advisory Committee released the Protecting the Yarra River (Birrarung) Discussion Paper. The discussion paper is the next step in the creation of the Yarra River Protection Act, and is well worth reading – you can find it here.
The Yarra River Protection Act is a once in a lifetime opportunity to protect the Yarra for future generations.
